EDKS-6613: Content and Methods for Teaching World Languages at PK-12 Levels (3 hours)
This course develops teacher candidate understanding of world language content and the methodology necessary to teach P-12 students. The class will examine the theory and practice of methods for teaching world languages. During the class, students will engage in curriculum development and assessment creation. Field Experience: 20 hours required. Prerequisite: a minimum score of Advanced-Low on the ACTFL Oral Proficiency Interview.
EDKS-6944: Student Teaching Internship: PK-12 World Language Education (6 hours)
Supervised teaching experience in a world language classroom for sixteen weeks of a full-day basis. The internship includes planning, instruction, and reflective evaluation. Open only to students who have been admitted to the Student Teaching Internship. Prerequisite: Acceptance to the Internship Professional Semester. Corequisite: EDUC-6985. Offered Pass/Fail only.
